We help teachers bring the world to North Carolina classrooms
Through Go Global NC’s Global Teachers programs:
- More than 1,000 K-12 teachers and administrators have studied abroad.
- Participants have explored the history, culture, physical environment, education systems, and shared issues and interests of the day in 16 different countries.
- North Carolina students have benefited from hundreds of original global lesson plans that have been developed and implemented.
Empowering teachers to engage the world
Go Global NC’s Global Teachers are among North Carolina’s best educators. Please see the links and materials below that have been prepared with their words and photos captured during their learning experiences.

Matching Funds Available for Tier One and Tier Two Counties
Go Global NC received $1 million State appropriation for Global Teachers. This FY2025 funding is being used as matching funds for Tier 1 and 2 counties to participate in our Global Teachers Fellowship. This will help expand global education to our most economically distressed counties. We have funding for approximately 17 counties. A county’s one-time match of either $40,000 (Tier one) or $50,000 (Tier Two) will make it possible for a teacher from that county to participate in the Global Teachers Fellowship every year, in perpetuity. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please contact GGNC Founder and Board Member Millie Ravenel at millieravenel@gmail.com.
